Senior/Lead Generative AI Data Scientist Full-time

We are looking for a talented and experienced Data Scientist to work on generative artificial intelligence solutions for various industries and use cases. You will use your machine learning skills to solve non-trivial business problems for EPAM clients who want to leverage the latest advances in Data Science and Machine Learning by applying them to text, images, video, and other data. You will work with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and product managers, being a key part of driving generative AI from concept to implementation.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Be a leader in generative AI and identify business scenarios for which generative AI can be effectively applied
• Research, develop, and prototype novel approaches to generative AI, conduct use case assessments, research existing research papers, implement and validate it for real-world use cases
• Work closely with the ML engineering team at all stages (from research to implementation of generative AI)
• Collaborate with product managers and other business stakeholders to form a clear vision of the technology and its real-world capabilities
• Present your results to stakeholders and clearly communicate both the technical and business parts of the solution

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science with application to the development of generative models (LLMs, GANs, VAE, Diffusion models)
• Experience with Computer vision, Natural Language Processing problems, experience with multimodal data (images, texts, audio, other data)
• Experience in using Open AI GPTx, experience in training
• Experience in writing ready-to-implement code using best engineering practices
• Programming skills in Python
• Skills with at least one of the common deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc
• Experience in optimizing the production of deep learning models
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of written and spoken English at Upper-Intermediate level and above (B2+)
