Job Brief (Full-Time)

We are looking for a Principal AI Scientist specializing in large language models and natural language processing. Our mission is to push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of AI and to create transformative solutions that impact industries worldwide. As a thought leader in AI, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and implementing complex AI systems that will shape the future of the group. You will lead a highly skilled team of AI engineers, researchers, and developers, and together, you will be at the forefront of solving some of the most challenging problems in AI. Your technical leadership and deep domain knowledge will drive the evolution of our platform and contribute to our mission of revolutionizing the way people interact with machines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI team in developing innovative AI solutions, from concept to deployment, to address critical business challenges.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including research, product management, and data science, to define AI strategies and roadmaps.
• Drive the design and architecture of AI systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and evaluate their applicability to our projects.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Hands-on coding and development of AI models, algorithms, and prototypes.
• Contribute to research publications, patents, and intellectual property creation.
• Lead technical discussions and present complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. PhD is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in AI and Deep Learning development.
• Proven track record of leading AI teams and successfully delivering complex AI projects from concept to production.
• Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Huggingface), deep learning techniques, natural language processing and hardware optimization (e.g. TensorRT).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed computing.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire technical teams.
• Demonstrated publication record in top-tier AI conferences or journals is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in deploying large-scale language models in production environments.
• Familiarity with ethical AI guidelines and best practices for mitigating bias in AI systems.
• Contributions to open-source NLP projects or significant involvement in the AI research community.
• Experience with multi-modal AI systems that integrate language with other data types (e.g., images, audio).
• Experience in [relevant industry/domain] is highly desirable.
