[PERM] Sr Project Manager in gen AI field Full-time

Job Description

Manage the quality, progress, and budget of AI development projects in Japan-based startup tech company working on revolutionary chatbot tools.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Quality control, progress management, budget management, etc. in AI/chatbot development projects
• Identification and visualization of development project issues and mitigating them
• Negotiation, coordination, and document management for each phase of the project
• Man-hour management and revenue/expense management for each project and for the entire division
• From time to time, the role will visit clients as well to do presentations, demos, and negotiations
• Organize client requests and make proposals through discussions with clients
• Designing the grand design of the project, including defining the project scope and setting goals
• Formulation of development specifications and concrete proposals in collaboration with our business side and engineers

Required skills

• Over 5 years of experience in project management.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management.
• Strong skills in task prioritization and time management.
• Proficiency in using project management tools such as JIRA, Notion.
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese (JLPT N1 or native level).
• Ability to analyze and visualize project data.
• Experience in client facing role, handling client negotiations and requirement gathering.
• Understanding of AI (LLM, NLP) and software development processes (Agile, Waterfall).

Preferred skills

• Knowledge and experience in web application development
• Knowledge/experience with Python, TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt.js a plus
• Experience in machine learning related development
• Experience working using English
