About this opportunity:

AI can play a pivotal role in enhancing existing technologies that operate in very dynamic environments. Such as the Ericsson product portfolio that builds today’s 5G network. We are now offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with our experts in Ericsson’s R&D’s Integrated Radio Access Network department to enhance our products with the predictive capabilities of AI. The thesis will focus on optimizing, training and evaluating different machine learning algorithms with real-world data.

What you will do:

AI can play a pivotal role in creating efficient solutions for different technological problems. In the case of this project AI presents a viable solution to more efficiently increase robustness of our products and significantly impact hardware fault detection.

The following steps are envisioned as part of the thesis work:
• Pre-process and evaluate numerical data sets.
• Evaluate and propose different machine learning models (e.g Supervised, Reinforcement etc…)
• Write a qualitative study where the different algorithms are compared.

The thesis will be concluded with a result presentation for one of Ericsson’s execution environment team.

The skills you bring:

• This project aims at students in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or similar.
• Experiene within C, Python, Machine Learning, and Mobile Telecommunication are beneficial.
