Sr. Director Enterprise Data & AI Portfolio Full-time

We are seeking a Sr. Director of Enterprise Data & AI to lead our Data Domain portfolio management team. This is a new role will lead all aspects of the strategic direction and manage the performance of the Data & AI domains’ portfolio of projects and investments. Additionally, this role will ensure the smooth operation of the domain by working with the VP of Data Domain to drive strategic projects, run multi-functional initiatives, and facilitate effective communication within the team and with external partners. You will also coordinate the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficiency in all business.

What You Will Do

• You will redefine our portfolio management system, crafting a process for work to flow in and out while managing through the complexity of a multi-functional embedded data organization.
• Coordinate the execution of strategic Data & AI projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and team members to prioritize projects and capacity.
• Collaborate with senior management to set operational goals and objectives.
• Act as a strategic advisor and confidant to the VP of Data Domains, providing insights and recommendations on key initiatives.
• Coordinate and lead meetings, ensuring follow-up on action items
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the department.
• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
• Model and drive continuous improvement and innovation within the management team.

• A seasoned professional with a solid background in technical portfolio management in Data & AI, strategic planning, and leadership.
• A strategic problem solver with a deep understanding of portfolio management, business operations, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
• An influential leader who communicates effectively with all levels, including executive management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology or management consulting industry.
• A history of ability to lead multiple projects and priorities, and leverage metrics & objectives and key results
• Proficiency in portfolio/project management software and tools. (Certification e.g., PfMP, PMP is a plus).
• Experience working with senior leaders and multi-functional teams

• Prior experience in Data & Analytics organization
• Experience managing portfolios size over $100M USD
• Experience in value and performance tracking
• Prior experience working in global company size over $10B USD across different timezones

Pay Range: 274900 USD – 371500 USD

U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
