[Sony Research]Engineering Intern for Imaging and Sensing (Computer Vision) Full-time

General Information
Sony AI is looking for smart and talented interns with expertise in computer vision on edge devices to join our Tokyo-based team. The internship requires a minimum of 3-months duration.

During the internship, you will focus on optimizing computer vision models on edge devices to maximize Sony image sensors in one of Imaging & Sensing’s flagship projects. You are encouraged to design and implement software components for model optimization on target edge devices.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Implement software components to optimize original computer vision models on target edge devices.
• Develop the system prototype to demonstrate the computer vision and machine learning models on target edge devices.
• Work closely with our research scientists to understand the original computer vision models.

Qualifications & Experience
• Background in engineering or computer science
• Hands-on programming experience in C/C++, Python with PyTorch, and TensorRT
• Knowledge of computer vision model architectures
• Knowledge of embedded systems and edge devices
• Good communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a master’s or a PhD degree in computer science or a related field.
• Proven track record of software development
