Solution Sales Specialist – Data & AI, Retail & Consumer Goods Full-time

The Netherlands Azure Data & AI Team is critical for the AI transformation of our enterprise customers. You will lead, develop and manage a portfolio of intelligent data & AI solutions for our customers. You will drive data and AI strategies and solutions in partnership with our customers, including modern data warehousing, analytics, insights, and governance platforms, as well as ML, AI including Generative AI solutions.

We are expanding the team and looking for candidates with experience in Retail and Consumer Goods industries.

The Data & AI team acts as trusted advisors and Data & AI (Artificial Intelligence) subject matter experts with core capability and expertise in Data Modernisation, Analytics and AI. Working with customers to leverage data to help them achieve their business priorities and help guide customer’s journey through AI led Azure Data transformation. We also support customers evaluating their applications and business requirements, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, and demonstrate these solutions to win the technical decision.

As an Azure Data & AI Specialist you will be a solution sales expert within our enterprise sales organisation working with our most important customers on their Data Strategy and the modernisation of their Data Estate across Operational DBs, Data, Analytics, AI Platforms, AI solutions and Data Governance. You will work with a virtual team with technical, delivery, partner and consulting experience to advance the sales process and achieve/ exceed quarterly Data & AI revenue and usage/ consumption targets in your assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Sales Execution– Engages in conversation with customers aligned to their industry and collaborates with account and partner team to drive and qualify new opportunities and build pipeline. Identifies customer business and technology readiness, proactively builds external stakeholders’ mapping, implements strategies to accelerate the closing of deals, contributes input on strategies to drive and close prioritized opportunities, coaches team members in deal plan execution, and implements close plans.

• Scaling and Collaboration– Collaborates with Global Partner Solutions (GPS), identifies new partners, develops joint proposals with partners, and contributes to developing partner strategies. Applies role orchestration model and navigates the Microsoft organization to bring the best impact to the customer.

• Technical Expertise– Leads conversations and sets up events within Microsoft, mentors others and develops strategies for best practice sharing, initiates conversations with prospective customers/partners at events, acts as a subject matter expert in one or more solution area(s). Collaborates with the ‘compete’ global black belts (GBB) to analyse competitor products, solutions, and/or services and implement strategies.

• Delivers Results Through Teamwork– Drives the execution of projects, partners and collaborates with other teams on related deliverables, and leverages others in relevant work streams.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Technology-related sales or account management experience
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent qualification) combined with Technology-related sales or account management experience.
• Experience in Solutions Sales position working with AI solutions ranging from Machine Learning solutions, deep learning and generative AI including Open AI, Llama2, and others.
• Experience in Solutions Sales position working with Data solutions ranging from structured/relational to semi/non structured data such as: Cloud-based Data Warehouses, Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, Data Lake, SQL solutions required MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (Mongo) and PowerBI.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience selling business solutions to large/global enterprise customers with a focus on data platform, Analytics and AI technologies
