Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented SME AI/ML Engineer to join our team in the Washington, D.C. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The Artificial Intelligence / Machine Language (AI/ML) Engineer identifies new opportunities to optimize operational and business processes, improve customer experiences, and prototype solutions to demonstrate value with a crawl, walk, run mindset.
• Working closely with SED and their stakeholders, they facilitate the establishment of scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation using CBP-approved AI/ML software applications.
• Assist SED in supporting acquisition in the AI domains (e.g. ML, computer vision) and identifying capability gaps appropriate for AI solutions and testing practices specific to AI.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider solution (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure).
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages (e.g., Python).

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in STEM field. Graduate certificate in AI/ML.
• Experience with Java, C++, R object-oriented/object function scripting languages.
• Expertise in standard software engineering methodology, e.g., unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, code reviews, design documentation.
• Experience in Large Language Models (LLM), and Data science highly desired, and desired experience in Large Action Models (LAM). Industry experience building innovative end-to-end Machine Learning systems.
• Experience working with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures and designing APIs.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
