Senior Researcher – Computational biology – Microsoft Research AI for Full-time

Microsoft AI for Science is looking for talented researchers to conduct cutting edge research in life sciences and drug discovery with AI technology. You are preferred to have solid background and experiences in cell biology and machine learning. You will work together with world class AI experts in tackling the challenging problems in cell biology.

AI technology has been applied to advance research in many fields. In life science domain, vast amount of data, including imaging, sequencing, and chemical assays, are becoming available at faster rates. We plan to build a foundation cell model to ultimately replace wetlab cell experiments. We will utilize existing biology knowledge and multi-omics data to train an AI model to achieve this goal.

Responsibilities:

Curate and organize experimental datasets

Work together with AI researchers to design ML models

Evaluate the performance of trained AI model

Engage in experimental validation

Identify key applications and conduct experiments

Qualifications:

Required:

A P.D in life sciences, computer science, or physical sciences but with solid background in cell biology and genomics research.

Experiences in ML model development or applications are plus.

At least 2-3 years working experiences after Ph.D training.
