• Position Summary

Our team is building a wide range of natural language processing technologies intended to be applied to entertainment content creation and business data analysis.
You will work on advanced research in natural language processing. Your main task will be the research and development of multilingual LLM and downstream task for content creation intended to reduce hurdles for content distribution and make workflow more efficient.
We expect to utilize this technology in movies, anime and games and contribute to deliver Sony’s content to more customers faster.

• Responsibilities

Development of LLM itself and downstream task such as machine translation for movies/anime/games content and natural language generation for content creation.

You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including paper submissions to top conferences (e.g. ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, AAAI, etc.), collaborative research with overseas laboratories and/or business groups, data collection, library releases, patent proposals, improving efficiency in Sony`

• Required qualifications
• Master’s degree in natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or closely related areas OR equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with Python, C/C++, and Linux/Unix.
• 2 years of experience in machine learning fields and NLP, using common frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Research ability, as demonstrated by a track record of conference papers, open-source software, or other scientific activities.

• Preferred qualifications
• Qualification at the Ph.D. level or higher in computer science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in computer science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Knowledge and experience in developing LLM itself or LLM-related technology is a plus.
