With their skill sets-encompassing programming, scripting, problem-solving, communication, etc.-these developers help implement, manage, and optimize RPA solutions to ensure they operate as smoothly as possible. To take things further, we’ve outlined some of the typical responsibilities of an RPA developer:

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Process Analysis and Identification: One of the fundamental responsibilities of an RPA developer is conducting a thorough analysis of existing business processes and identifying ones well-suited for automation. This is a collaborative effort that involves working with different departments and stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of existing workflows. Through this process, users can begin automating repetitive, rule-based tasks prone to human error and, ideally, yield improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
• Designing and Developing RPA Solutions: Once potential automation opportunities are identified, RPA developers transition to the design and development phase. Using specialized RPA tools, development teams create automation solutions known as bots. These bots are designed to replicate human actions within specific processes, freeing human employees from spending time on repetitive tasks that prevent them from focusing on more involved and valuable projects.
• Coding and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages is a critical competency for RPA developers to possess. These roles are required to use languages like Python, Java, or C# to write custom scripts that direct, manage, and enhance the functionality of deployed bots. While many RPA solutions come equipped with low-code offerings, having a solid understanding of coding is crucial for an RPA engineer as it will help them effectively tailor their automation solutions to meet the needs of each business process they’re implemented in.
• Testing and Debugging: Rigorous testing is a critical responsibility for RPA developers. They perform comprehensive tests on the bots to ensure they operate accurately and reliably across various scenarios. This involves creating input datasets, defining expected outputs, and validating the behavior of bots under different conditions. Developers are also responsible for identifying, predicting, and addressing any issues that could arise, such as handling exceptions or managing changes in data inputs.
• Integration with Existing Systems: RPA developers are heavily involved in the integration of new bots with existing systems using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). They do this to establish secure, efficient communication channels, allowing automated processes to seamlessly exchange data with the enterprise applications they interact with. Developers should also ensure these data exchanges are accurate, synchronized, and comply with data governance policies.
• Maintenance and Monitoring: The job of an RPA developer extends beyond the initial implementation, as continuous monitoring and maintenance are crucial for the ongoing success of these solutions. This means implementing monitoring solutions that can identify issues in real-time, setting up alerts to notify relevant parties of those issues, and setting up dashboards that track bot performance. Developers also help update and patch the RPA solution when needed and can use their familiarity with the solution’s performance to recommend or implement optimizations.
• Documentation: Developers are responsible for creating comprehensive documentation that covers every aspect of automation, including design, code, and testing procedures. This documentation serves as a valuable resource for knowledge transfer. It also helps promote collaboration among team members, maintain process visibility, explain the purpose of specific code, validate performance, and provide a reference for future enhancements or modifications to the automated processes.

Professional & Technical Skills:
• Must have at least 3 years of work experience
• Good to have web development skills HTML, SQL, .Net, MVC, C#, Visual Basic, CSS 3 and the likes with good in hands-on in core OOPs Programming 4 Technically sound candidate with hands-on development experienced. Should have experience with using IDEs like Visual studio, WebSphere etc
• Experience on any Process Automation/Integration IT Projects with good communication skill.
• Good to have Robotics Process Automation RPA Tools such as: UiPath / Power Apps / AA360.
• Strong Communication skills
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in IT and strong ServiceNow development experience.
• In-depth knowledge of various technologies, including cloud computing, databases, networking, and software development.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional Information:
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, along with a proven track record of providing effective application support.
• This position is based in Manila.
