The team

Your domain at ING is Know Your Customer Center (KYC Center). The KYC Center plays a crucial role in the implementation of the FEC/CDD and Transaction Monitoring policy within ING Domestic Bank Nederland. FEC/CDD stands for Financial Economic Crime/Customer Due Diligence (‘Know your Customer’) and aims to prevent financial-economic crime from entering the financial system and thereby affecting the integrity of and trust in the financial system. This is done by giving substance to our purpose: Empowering people to ensure integrity in society.

You will work in the Center of Expertise Risk, Finance & Reporting. The team consists of competent and ambitious colleagues, who each have their own expertise. The expertise’s within the CoE consist of a team of data analyst responsible for creating management information and the QR team responsible for review and improve quality so that ING meets the requirements from the WWFT. The position of predictive analytics analyst is a position in the team of data analyst.

Despite the differences in expertise’s, the teams within the CoE work closely together.

Roles and responsibilities

In the position of Predictive Analytics Analyst, you are responsible for initiating, leading and implementing scorecards from a data expert role. Examples of situations where your expertise is needed are new risks from money laundering and the impact this has on quality of work in the KYC Center or advising how analyses help to provide overprocessing and FEC risks through data attributes. In addition to the above, we also want to use data analysis to determine before and after we check the right cases. For example, based on certain characteristics of the case, we need to do an extra check in NL on the outreach.

Besides the content, you can coach and improve your colleagues within the Center of Expertise with regards to data analysis/models. You are capable of visualizing and presenting your plans, both within and outside the area KYC. When doing this, you are able to challenge existing business operations, while making the connection needed to ensure change.

What do we ask from you?

• You are in possession of a HBO/WO degree, preferably in the direction of business administration, econometrics or operational research;
• At least two to three years of experience within the KYC domain;
• Knowledge of (bank)processes, IT-tooling and service concepts (KYC in particular);
• Practical experience with tools and techniques for data preparation, analysis and visualization (SQL, SAS, Cognos, Think-cell);
• Open for and able to initiate change;
• Strong analytical skills and numerical understanding, result driven with an eye for improvement potential;
• Excellent level of both Dutch and English, speaking and writing. Including sense of what is going on in Dutch society day by day
