[PERM] VP of Engineering for Gen AI company Full-time

Job Description

Manage and Engineering team at the forefront of AI innovation, developing transformative Artificial Intelligence technologies that will shape the future.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of AI products, including new features of existing products, as well as brand-new products.
• Oversee and manage contracted development projects and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives.
• Plan and develop new products and AI solutions utilizing advanced R&D results.
• Design and implement systems to maximize engineering output.
• Manage the engineering team, including technology selection, talent development, and recruitment.
• Define operational policies and lead development teams to align with business growth objectives.

Required skills

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in technical development of a software/SaaS.
• Proven track record in launching and developing new products.
• Web application and AI development experience.
• Experience in the entire engineering recruitment process.
• People management experience of at least 5 people.
• Strong understanding of Python language.
• Fluent of native level of Japanese.
