PayPal is seeking a talented Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our Global Consumer Machine Learning team, driving the development of AI-driven solutions that will shape the future of PayPal. You will design and develop ML solutions like Next Best Action recommendation systems, Product Propensity, Incentive Optimization, Predict Customer Value, Churn, Uplift Models across our Brands including Venmo and PayPal. Your goal will be to leverage state of the art machine learning solutions to solve business problems related to PayPal Consumer Marketing.

Your day to day –

As a Machine Learning Scientist you will be responsible for: •

• Develop and implement state-of-the-art Machine Learning solutions to solve business problems related to PayPal Consumer Marketing lifecycle and address marketing challenges to drive business growth
• Collaborating with team and stakeholders to formulate business challenges into ML problems
• Design, develop and deploy automated large scale end-to-end ML solutions in close collaboration with our engineering group and PayPal’s Platforms organization
• Communicate complex concepts and the results of models and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing partners and customers with your insights and expertise.

What do you need to bring- •

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) with 6+ yrs. of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated record of building and deploying end-to-end ML solutions in a production environment, preferably in marketing or related domains.
• Experience with Next Best Action recommendation systems, Multi-Arm Bandit algorithms , Propensity, Churn and CV models.
• Ability to write scalable production-quality code in Python and to design and implement data engineering pipelines using technologies like SQL, BigQuery, or Spark etc.
• Hands-on experience with popular ML frameworks and packages such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. GCP/Hadoop and big data experience – an advantage.
• Experience leading ML projects and great record delivering solutions with attention to detail and efficiency.
• Experience shipping Realtime models a big plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish constructive relationship with business and engineering partners.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
