Background
We are seeking a motivated and talented graduate student to undertake a master thesis project on the topic of “Generative AI to define Test Specification from Software Requirements ” at Ericsson. This unique research opportunity will allow the selected candidate to work on cutting-edge AI-driven methodologies to automate the translation of software requirements into test specifications, with the potential to make a significant impact in the field of software engineering.
Thesis Description
The master thesis project will focus on leveraging generative AI techniques to automate the process of translating software requirements into test specifications. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to explore and develop AI models, algorithms, and tools to analyze and generate test specifications based on software requirements, with the goal of improving efficiency, accuracy, and coverage of testing activities. The project will involve collaboration with our experienced development team, and the opportunity to contribute to real-world software testing challenges.
The following steps are envisioned as part of the thesis work:
• Conduct a comprehensive literature review to understand the state of the art in AI-driven software testing and generative AI techniques
• Design and implement AI models and algorithms to generate test specifications from software requirements
• Collaborate with our development team to integrate and validate the AI-driven test specification generation process
• Analyze and document the results of the AI-driven approach, and present findings to stakeholders The thesis will be concluded with a result presentation for the Ericsson Control Software team. Qualifications
• This project aims at students in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or similar.
• Preffered strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software engineering.
• Familiarity with software requirements engineering, software testing, and quality assurance processes is welcomed.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
