What you will do

• The prospective Manager will fit into the company’s team-oriented, relationship-based culture, and will feel comfortable reaching out to other members of the company both for integration with the firm and execution of AI activities
  • Strong record of professional accomplishment and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage AI projects and teams
  • Proven ability to drive topics and make a commercial impact
  • MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations research or related technical discipline with 8+ years of industry experience in Data Science.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience; 2+ years developing the careers of 4 or more direct reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill ls and ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Lead AI solutions that bring critical insights to a variety of different AI-ML problems such as Recommendation engine, AI product design, Search optimization, Demand forecasting, Computer vision, Text analyses, Anomaly detection etc.
  • Demonstrable experience in exploratory data analysis (Jupyter, RStudio), distributed data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.), code review and version control tools, batch and streaming data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, ML flow, Kafka), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) and deployment (Jenkins) is required.
  • Experience of working on Microsoft Azure and Databricks is a plus although not mandatory.
  • Proven experience writing production-grade software or delivering large scale AI projects
  • Extensive experience in model development and life-cycle management in one or more industries.

What you should bring

• Deep Technical and Data Science Expertise: The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience with applying AI to a variety of business situations, such that they can efficiently and effectively advise multiple teams on the best path to uncovering critical insights for clients.
• Experience in core analytics methods (one or more of the following): Statistics (t-tests, ANOVA), variable reduction (FA, PCA), Segmentation/clustering techniques , Predictive modeling: e.g. logistic regression, linear regression, Network analysis (location-allocation, travelling sales person, vehicle routing problem), Time series analysis: e.g. ARIMA, VAR, etc., Machine learning: e.g. PCA, Random Forest, Deep neural networks, Text mining & unstructured data analytics, Simulation: e.g. MC, dynamic, discrete event, Optimization: e.g. linear programming, heuristic
• Familiarity with a broad base of analytics tools (one or more of the following): Data management: e.g. Excel, SQL, PostGRESql, Hadoop/Hive, Alteryx, Analytics platforms, Programming and/or scripting experience: e.g. Python, C#, VBA, Java, Perl, etc., Search: Elastic Search, Neo 4j based graph models
• Experience in applied AI for business problem solving: Eg. Extensive experience building AI solutions for (one or more of the following), Contract Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Network Optimization, Chatbots, Spend Analytics, Search Optimization, Catalogue Search, Data Harmonization, and Data Monetization.
• Project Management and Team Leadership: The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage engagements, client relationships, provide “thought leadership” to teams, and ultimately be responsible for the quality of delivery. They must lead project teams in the design, development and deployment. This individual will supervise data scientists and data engineers but must have the ability to “do the work” as well. Strong presence, strong collaborator and leadership skills and ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization are a must.
• Stakeholder Management: The successful candidate will have a business focus and a solid track record of developing strong working relationships within matrix organizations. The candidate with have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders from different backgrounds, delivering impactful solutions and presenting work in a concise and thoughtful manner, while demonstrating technical expertise (fluency in English is required).
