We’re looking for a passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our Machine Learning Platform team!

What You’ll Do:

As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Xometry, you’ll contribute to projects that directly impact our manufacturing processes and customer experience. You can expect to work in an environment that encourages innovation and provides hands-on experience with the latest cloud technologies in support of our enterprise data science efforts. You will be:

• Contributing to research and design of our enterprise machine learning platform.
• Developing and extending APIs leveraged by multiple machine learning models and the Xometry application.
• Developing pipelines and systems in AWS to support MLOps best practice.
• Collaborating with engineers and domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions .
• Presenting your findings and insights to the team.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

What We’re Looking For:

Academic Excellence: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, graduating in December 2025 or May 2026, with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Technical Skills: Strong experience with relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, Go), and API frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, REST), familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) and common python libraries for machine learning (e.g., scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch) is a plus .

Strong Work Ethic: Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship period (June 9 – August 15, 2025).

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Problem-Solving Skills: A passion for problem-solving and a desire to drive results.

Legal Authorization: Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States.

Location Requirement: Ability to commute to our Lexington, KY or North Bethesda, MD office to work onsite for at least 3 days a week.
