Deloitte Consulting are seeking a strategic and experienced Director to lead our Finance Analytics and AI initiatives in Ireland, working within Deloitte’s Finance Transformation team. This role is central to guiding clients through analytics and AI-driven transformation journeys across various industries. As a leader in Finance Analytics and AI, you will oversee the implementation of cutting-edge solutions, manage a high-performing team, and work alongside Deloitte’s Global network.

About the role:

• Lead and shape the development of Finance Analytics and AI offerings within the Finance Transformation team working with our colleagues in Data and AI.
• Oversee the design and deployment of advanced data analytics solutions, transforming financial reporting functions and enabling data-driven decision-making for clients across multiple industries.
• Collaborate with clients to deliver AI solutions that streamline financial processes and enhance forecasting, reporting, and data visualisation capabilities.
• Provide strategic direction on AI adoption, including Generative AI, guiding clients on the potential of these technologies while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Manage multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver finance transformation projects, including: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, Treasury, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Drive client development, leveraging deep expertise to deliver high-quality consulting and support business growth.
• Ensure seamless project management and leadership of finance analytics transformations, maintaining alignment with global Deloitte teams.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of professional growth, client service excellence, and innovation.

About You:

• Experience: Extensive experience working within finance functions in a transformation role, within industry or consulting.
• Accounting Qualification: Fully qualified accountant with deep specialisation in data and analytics.
• Analytics Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in finance data analytics, with a comprehensive understanding of key reporting functions. Advanced experience in at least one of the following: FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, AP, or AR.
• AI Knowledge: Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI applications, with a proactive approach to ongoing learning in this evolving area.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing teams and overseeing large-scale transformation projects, balancing client expectations and project timelines effectively.
• Industry Focus: Experience in Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT), Consumer, or Financial Services sectors is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in SQL, advanced Excel, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAC, Looker Studio). Experience with Hyperscalers (Google Cloud, AWS and Azure) and Cloud Data Platforms (Big Query, Snowflake, Databricks) is a bonus.
