Co-op Engineer – AI & Big Data Full-time

Our team has an immediate 12-month Co-op opening for an Engineer.
Responsibilities:

• Develop data driven AI embedding and workload-aware product data and metadata optimization algorithm.
• Perform system testing for high available and reliable data lake house solution.
• Develop problem determination solution and drive toward root cause identification and resolution on computational storage environment.
• Work as part of a small but high performance, startup-like team mainly using Python/C/Java for development.

The target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from $56,000 to $79,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Knowledge and experience in AI/LLM, database, bigdata and storage system, operating system structures and transaction processing.
• Good understanding of file system, database fundamentals, such as, transaction management, storage engine, MVCC, SQL optimization, recovery, HA.
• Proficient in UNIX scripting and Python programming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, JAVA, C/C++, and Python.
• Strong research capability and ability to learn new technologies/products quickly.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
• Good analytics skills.
• Ability to handle complex tasks by assessing issues and breaking down problems to reach an optimal solution.
