About the Job

We’re seeking a well-rounded Cloud/ Platform Engineer to design the platform that will enable IGIU’s product portfolio to quickly uptake OCI AI capabilities, with a focus on Generative AI, to make our products smarter, more efficient and a joy to use. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including application product managers, software engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and user experience designers. Our new platform will be built directly on OCI based on cloud native principles. We build to scale globally, leveraging state-of-the-art tooling, with zero downtime.

You will be responsible for deploying OCI AI services with a deep focus on architecture, production operations, performance management, deployment and release engineering. You will work with multiple cross-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences to our stakeholders while ensuring reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Make Happen
• Design high-level architecture to define how to integrate seamlessly OCI AI services to serve as the AI foundation for the IGIU.
• Define scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures tailored to our team’s needs.
• Integrate security best practices into network and service designs, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring solutions.
• Lead and guarantee all designs and implementations align with organizational and regulatory security compliance requirements
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation and standards.
• Stay on top of the changes and the direction of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and
advocate for features requests to support our team’s needs
• Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and identify solutions.
• Design and implement automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring to production systems
• Work closely with the cloud infrastructure team to implement proposed designs, ensuring seamless execution.
• Present designs and recommendations to stakeholders, clearly explaining technical details and value propositions.

About You:
Must have
• Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud) and knowledge of cloud computing architecture
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
• You are comfortable working at all levels of the technical stack.
• Solid experience with Linux.
• Proficiency in IaaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Shell) for defining and deploying infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting complex software and/or networking issues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience guiding and mentoring teams on cloud-based design principles.

Nice to have
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technology is a plus.
• Prior DevOps or continuous delivery and continuous deployment experience preferred.
• Interest in Generative AI including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and fine tuning
• You are comfortable with ambiguity. You have a strong sense of ownership, can define your own workplan and can drive projects to completion.
• You are excited to learn new technologies and stay on the cutting edge of what’s possible
• You’ve taken a product or platform from 0 to 1, you know what it takes to launch something novel

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
