The Special Projects team at Apple is developing novel user-facing conversational features that leverage the multimodal capabilities of state-of-the-art foundation models. We are looking for a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development and evaluation of such features in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Description
In this role, you will:
– Design and implement machine learning algorithms to aid in building user-facing interactive conversational features
– Leverage multi-modal foundation models for rapid prototyping and iteration
– Develop evaluation strategies to translate product requirements to objective metrics
– Shepherd data collection and evaluation efforts to ensure rapid and measurable progress
– Collaborate with key stakeholders in hardware engineering, software engineering and design to develop prototypes and evolve them into production systems (for example, Siri and Apple Intelligence features in Apple’s operating systems).
