POSITION SUMMARY:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an innovative and hands-on Senior AI Solutions Architect. This pivotal role within our IT organization involves working on a multi-functional team of Systems and Solution Architects to pioneer the delivery of data and digital solutions. You will focus on AI projects across the organization, implementing large-scale initiatives, and exploratory efforts to integrate sophisticated AI technologies.

This role requires a proven background in AI solution implementation, software development and architecture, as well as the ability to build relationships and partner with business leaders to drive industry-changing technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product management, solution management, and other team members to understand and translate business needs into AI solutions.
• Lead exploratory projects to identify new opportunities for AI applications within the organization.
• Evaluate and integrate new AI tools and technologies to enhance the capabilities of existing systems.
• Provide thought leadership in AI and data science that help define the vision and roadmaps for AI projects
• Contribute to architectural review and implementation of AI-related solutions, ensuring alignment to industry standard methodologies.
• Deliver thorough, detailed design specifications and ensure proposed architectures meet system architecture functional and non-functional requirements.
• Lead other SMEs and Architects in design contributions.
• Clearly communicate design concepts to customers and key project team members.
• Continuously build technical expertise and knowledge of leading industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Experience with AI frameworks such as Azure OpenAI and Amazon Bedrock AI.
• Proficiency with data science programming languages such as Python and R.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate is helpful.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Copilot M365 is a plus.
• Experience with cloud data platform technologies such as Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with software development and collaboration tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA.
