AI Protection Analyst Full-time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
• 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research etc.).
• 5 years of experience with data analysis.
• 2 years of experience with one or more of the following languages SQL, R, Python, or C .
• Experience in security threat or abuse detection.
• Knowledge in anomaly detection, security threats analysis and investigation, time-series analysis, or metrics and reporting.

In this role, you will ensure a safe and secure payments environment for users, and will identify and solve problems to innovate and optimize processes and tools. You will also work with Product and Engineering teams to make sure that new products and features provide a safe experience for users.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and solve problems using data and statistical methods.
• Improve tools and automated systems through data analysis, technical knowledge, and present to stakeholders.
• Identify and investigate possible failure modes for Generative AI products on a broad range.
• Perform analysis of risks, measure and mitigate AI-related risks, using benchmarking, evaluations, dataset design, and usage monitoring.
• Collaborate with other Google teams to ensure that issues are understood and solutions are adopted.
