Lab Summary:
As part of MPS (Mobile Platform Services) and SRA, you will be a member of the Advanced Research Team focusing on computer vision related XR (AR, MR, VR) technologies focusing on building the next generation head mounted displays. We focus on both commercial and next gen technologies that impact Samsung’s vision for the next few years. As such you will be will be working on commercial-level products as well as future research.
Position Summary:
The computer vision and AR/VR intern will work with the team on researching and developing on-device image transformation, computer vision, scene detection, scene mapping, object detection and recognition, sensor information acquisition and processing, image denoising and image enhancement, and machine learning technologies across Samsung’s products. You will balance research and product and contribute to creating innovative solutions with prototype and production-level reliability for AR/VR solutions. This role will have a greater focus on sensor information acquisition and processing, scene detection, spatial mapping, object detection and recognition, image denoising and image enhancement on mobile devices.

Within the hourly pay rate range, individual rates depend on a number of factors-including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
