Job description

• Shape the future: You are part of the evaluation and development of next-generation compiler technology for AI/ML workloads
• Holistic System Overview: You analyze the compilation flow of AI/ML-compiler frameworks for Infineon product requirements
• Hands-on research: You develop and execute experimental designs to evaluate AI/ML-compiler to gain knowledge about performance and power consumption
• Data is everything: You collect and analyze data to evaluate performance benchmarks
• Inform your colleagues: You communicate findings through well-written reports and presentations

Your profile

• Study field: You are currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Preferred experience: You are familiar with AI/ML frameworks for model construction and training (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, and more) and have first-hand experience with embedded systems, including microprocessors, microcontrollers, and peripherals
• Beneficial interests: You are ideally already familiar with ARM microcontroller architectures and their software ecosystem as well as edge deployment tools (TFLite, MicroTVM, ExecuTorch, and more)
• Mandatory skills: You are proficient in programming (e.g., Python, C,C++) and familiar with hardware (e.g., Arduino)
• Way of working: You embrace collaboration, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments
• Language skills: You have fluent English skills, both written and spoken

Important information:

• Working part-time: The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
• Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: You must be enrolled, and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.
• You should live close to the site: It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly.
