Undergraduate Generative AI Externship – Mexico

Duration: 7 weeks, What is an Externship?

The Generative AI Externship is an unpaid virtual experience during which you will have the opportunity to build technical skills in Python for AI & Generative AI through virtual training sessions at your own pace. We believe in the benefits of coaching and mentoring throughout the experience to further prepare you for the next step along your career path, specifically full-time opportunities within Cognizant. This externship is aligned to Cognizant’s newly launched Synapse program – an exciting new skilling program that aims to train 1 million workers across the globe on new technology advancements, like AI, so they are powered for change.
Eligibility / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, currently pursuing a computer science, business, marketing, information technology or similar degree
• Awareness of Python, Machine Learning, and Neural Networks
• Ability to self-motivate within set timelines
• Developing communication and collaboration skills
• Growth mindset: curiosity about learning innovative technologies and methodologies
• Interest in launching a career in technology or the consulting industry
• Ability to attend any required virtual events throughout the course
• Students must be in their third year of a four-year BA/BS program, in business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) at an accredited university or college in Mexico for the 2024-2025 academic year
• Students from all schools and students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the technology industry, including but not limited to Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous, students with disabilities, women and veterans are encouraged to apply
• Permanent Mexico work authorization is required
