We are seeking a talented and creative UI Designer to join our team and help design intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning user interfaces for our generative AI product. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI design, a passion for AI-driven technologies, a keen eye for detail and a strong team spirit. The role will also work with Rex Design Lab, the creative Hub of Rakuten Group to remain consistent and of high quality of design.

Position Details

– Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into compelling UI designs.

– Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.

– Design and implement user interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, ensuring a seamless user experience.

– Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

– Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into your work.

– Contribute to the development and maintenance of a consistent design system and style guide.

Mandatory Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

– Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably with experience in designing applications that leverage AI technologies.

– Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and process, including examples of wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.

– High level proficiency in Figma (UI library and component creation/modification/maintenance).

– The ability to develop quick PoC and prototypes to demonstrate user interactions.

– Solid knowledge of UI/UX best practices and stays current on design trends and technology evolution on the web.

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.

– Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

– Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

– Maintain a deep passion for AI.

– Fluent in Japanese will be a big plus.
