Systems Failure Analysis Engineer, Quantum AI Full-time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in root cause analysis.
• 1 year of experience with failure analysis/fault isolation techniques.
• 1 year of experience creating process travelers and related documentation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing technicians in a laboratory environment.
• Experience in data analysis and visualization using Python, JMP, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of cleanroom semiconductor fabrication and test.
• Knowledge of vacuum and cryogenic systems.
• Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and test.

As a Quantum Processor Failure Analysis Engineer, you will work across our quantum systems from device through cryogenic signal carrying components to assure we are able to isolate failures and establish root cause. Additionally, You will work with internal and external partners to develop and refine failure analysis techniques. You will provide insights that will help individual module owners improve reliability and system yield.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Own quantum processor Fault Isolation/Failure Analysis process.
• Maintain our database of observed processor failure modes and mechanisms.
• Define quantum processor Failure Analysis inspection and tear down procedures to assure we are accurately assigning root cause.
• Develop new and refine existing failure analysis techniques specific to quantum processors and systems.
