Staff Software Engineer, Secure AI, Google Cloud Full-time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 5 years of experience in launching and testing software products, and 3 years of experience with software design, and architecture.
• Experience in designing and building distributed systems.
• Experience with Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Experience in programming languages such as Java or C .

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 5 years of experience as a Technical Lead/Architect.
• Experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI security.
• Experience mentoring executive engineers and teams, and collaborating with multiple teams and convincing technical stakeholders.
• Experience in security technologies or compliance regimes.
• Knowledge of working on horizontal projects with impact across product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop key components of security services in the realm of AI security for Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with peers and area Team Leads to undertake productization of Secure AI initiatives.
• Ensure high-standards of production availability and reliability of these services while sharing the on-call responsibilities with the rest of the engineering team.
• Contribute towards building strong technical capabilities in the India team by mentoring/coaching other team members.
