General Summary:

This position is for cutting edge Computer Vision based software development for Autonomous driving. The position requires strong analytical skills, mathematical knowledge of image processing and computer vision algorithms and performance optimization on various SIMD and DSP architectures.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Bring your strong software skills with primarily C/C++ and embedded systems to Qualcomm and:

• Develop software driver for computer vision IP for next generation automotive ADAS products.
• Analyze requirements, translating them to architecture, design, implementation, and verification.
• Document requirements, architecture and design and establish traceability between work products.
• Develop functionally safe SW for using the hardware IP for ADAS usecase.
• Conduct safety and security analysis for architecture and design.
• Develop software compliant with ISO26262 and ISO21434 safety and cybersecurity standards.
• Work in team setting and will require to communicate with local and remote teams on the project.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of Software development experience.
• 4+ years programming skills in C++ (11/14/17/20).
• 2+ years of experience in QNX/Linux based embedded systems.
• Analyze system requirements and identify most effective ways to introduce new system capabilities and improve system KPIs.
• Evaluate architectural options, trade-offs, develop architecture proposals and specifications.
• Solid foundation and understanding of data structures, algorithms and Multimedia framework architectures and implementation.
• Knowledge and prior experience with Computer Vision is a plus.
• Good foundation of object-oriented design patterns or other software design paradigms.
• Familiarity with UML based architecture and design representation.
• Experience in writing documents on software design, algorithms, and interfaces.
• Familiarity with unit test and code coverage is a plus.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety and CyberSecurity is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams across multiple Geographical locations.
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment.
