As a Staff Content Designer on the eBay AI design team in Berlin, you’ll be at the forefront of designing generative AI-driven content and curation experiences for our customers. The team’s mission is to define and build our next wave of magical, scalable, and personal ecommerce experiences using GAI. You thrive when working with cross-discipline partners to define the margins, strategies, and outcomes in emergent and ambiguous spaces. You’ll lead the end-to-end product content strategy for our in-product GAI experiences, develop frameworks to scale our strategy, and build partner relationships to successfully go from 0 to 1.

As a full-stack Staff Content Designer, you believe writing is designing. You see language as a design material and you get others to think the same. You understand how to work in tandem with our product design team to solve complicated problems with deceptively simple words, and how to work within an established content design system.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and codify content strategies, frameworks, and guidelines to drive end-to-end consistency in partnership with our Responsible AI, brand, marketing, and customer support teams
• Lead the content design process from discovery and ideation to the final fit and finish of full-fidelity designs
• Use the Double Diamond process to design, test, and iterate on user flows in close collaboration with product, design, and user research partners
• Collaborate closely with the Localization team to ensure the English source content will scale to other markets in which eBay operates.

Requirements:

• 8+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 5+ of those years on in-product UX content
• A portfolio of AI-related work demonstrating human-centered design thinking and solutions
• Experience leading or co-leading the design process, from early concept to launch
• Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity
• Management of multiple projects in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction, or a related field
