Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, Analytics, Financial Services, WWSO GTM Full-time

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) works backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn Amazon Web Services (AWS) ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you’ll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. AWS is looking for an Analytics Solution Architect (SA), who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers in designing solutions that leverage our Data & AI services. As part of the Go-to-Market (GtM) Specialist Solutions Architecture team, you will work closely with other Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Specialist Architects from various geographies to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of Amazon Web Services for Data and AI/Machine Learning (ML) platforms. You will interact with other Solution Architects in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage Amazon Web Services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader Solutions Architect (SA) population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services Data solutions into customer architectures. You drive effective feedback gathering from customers, and you distill and translate that feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams to review. You may continue to sponsor the creation of new products and features from these requirements, working closely with product and engineering teams to minimize requirements drift from your customer’s needs.

Key job responsibilities

– Thought Leadership – Evangelize AWS Analytics services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white-papers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc.

– Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development, Data and the AI/ML Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and providing guidance on their customer engagements.

– Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS Analytics services teams to provide customer driven product improvement feedback.

– Develop and support an AWS internal community of Data related subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services GenAI solutions into customer architectures.

– Customer Advisor- You will build prototypes, PoCs, and explore new solutions. You will interact closely with our customers and with the academic community.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications

– 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources

– 5+ years of experience with Analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.

– Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.

– Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

– Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

– Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.

– AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.

– Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
