Responsibilities

We are seeking an AI Machine Learning visionary, leader, and deep technical expert who will be a key leader to shape and execute the company’s product-focused AI initiatives and programs.

Reporting directly to the executive leader of Keysight’s central technology organization, you will lead the central AI technology team responsible for Keysight’s AI platform MLOps and model development. You will work collaboratively as a horizontal with product and solutions teams in the business verticals to:

• define Keysight’s solutions AI strategy and roadmap that will propel Keysight to become the AI leader in the Design, Emulation, and Test industry, and
• drive technology initiatives within the central technology organization to provide the required technology foundations, playbook, and capabilities.

This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking in business and technology, leadership skills, and the ability to influence and federate AI initiatives across the organization. You will manage and grow a focused, high-power central team of about 30 global professionals responsible for the continued development of Keysight’s AI platform and supporting MLOps infrastructure. You will scale your influence across all Keysight businesses using this platform, with a primary focus on enabling Keysight’s business units to rapidly bring new AI offerings to market for high-value customer use cases, increasing the value of Keysight solutions, and driving product growth.

Specific responsibilities include

1. AI Features Strategy: You will define and execute a company-wide strategy to scale AI deployment across the organization, including the data culture and ML-based products and features that make it possible. Leveraging Keysight’s market leading position in Design, Emulation & Test, and cross-Keysight strategic initiatives in data management and workflow optimization, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to create a strategy which delivers rapid impact to the highest immediate value creation opportunities, and scales across Keysight businesses, market segments, and technical domains.
2. AI Platform Roadmap and Execution: You will advance Keysight’s AI platform and supporting MLOps infrastructure, to drive maximum technology leverage and adoption across all Keysight businesses. You will engage with business unit leaders to identify AI opportunities, assess business needs, and develop a roadmap of AI capabilities that drive structural transformation, and software growth for Keysight.
3. Visionary Thought Leadership: You will serve as the company’s premiere AI technical leader and subject matter expert on AI and its applications. You will interact deeply with customers, deftly navigating commercial and technical domains, and engaging in market-facing activities aimed at establishing Keysight’s reputation for excellence in applying AI.
4. Technical Expertise and Innovation: You will stay at the forefront of AI technologies and commercial approaches, leading your team in the exploration and experimentation of new AI algorithms, techniques, and tools, and optimizing these for Keysight-relevant use cases where high-mix, low-volume datasets are common. You will grow the AI Platform to scale technical expertise across the company.
5. Talent Leadership: You will recruit, nurture, and grow the optimum skills to build a high-quality central team and influence the required skills and talent enterprise-wide. You will define strategies to leverage deep technical domain knowledge in experts across the company to develop breakthrough AI capability.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: You will engage with executives, business unit leaders, Product Managers, and R&D teams at all levels of the organization, to understand their needs, challenges, and expectations. You will collaborate with them and partner with their Product Management leaders to identify AI use cases, prioritize initiatives, and develop business cases for AI projects.
7. Communication and Collaboration: You will communicate at all levels, from execs to individual contributors, modulating your style and tone for each audience. You will effectively communicate AI concepts, strategies, and project updates to both technical and non-technical teams. You will foster a collaborative and inclusive culture, encouraging cross-functional teams to share ideas, learnings, and successes.
8. AI Governance and Standards: Supported by functional leaders and organizations, you will maintain governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical guidelines, and data privacy protocols.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD with a minimum of 8 years of experience, with deep expertise in predictive ML, not just GenAI applications. Expertise in deep learning (DL) and statistical machine learning (ML).
• Experience in strategic leadership and management of a Department, Business Unit or Research and Development group in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex business challenges. Strong collaborative and creative mindset.
• Proven track record of successfully shipping AI products from concept to deployment, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions in real-world applications.
• Experience working cross-organizationally to identify and integrate technology streams into a common solution. Demonstrated experience driving organizational change and promoting a culture of innovation.
• Thorough understanding of predictive modeling and various machine learning algorithms for supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Strong programming skills, including proficiency in Python and C++.
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Extensive experience with the complete MLOps workflow, encompassing data platform, training infrastructure, and edge deployment infrastructure.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and independently explore innovative ideas to enhance products and operations.
• Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously, set priorities, and deliver high-quality results
• Solid understanding of data governance, model validation, and ethical considerations in AI.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, in a range of contexts (e.g. executives, broader engineering community, technical presentations and publications)

Desired Qualifications

• PhD in AI/ML, Computer Science or related field, and experience as an established technology visionary. Must have deep predictive ML expertise, not just GenAI application.
• Proven experience managing, inspiring, and developing teams to drive innovation and execution in AI/ML. Track record of driving technical talent strategies.
• Knowledge of markets, applications and use cases relevant to Keysight businesses; such as commercial communications, aerospace/defense, and industrial electronics
