Sr. Cloud Solution Architect – Data & AI Full-time

The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.

As a Data Architect for Partners, the candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that cater to the specific needs of partner organizations. This opportunity will allow the candidate to gain valuable experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, refining their data modeling and integration expertise, and enhancing their ability to tailor data-driven solutions to meet the unique requirements of partner firms. This role will be a crucial stepping stone for the candidate to not only accelerate their career growth but also cultivate a profound understanding of partner ecosystems and the intricacies of data architecture within these contexts.

Responsibilities:

• • Partner Enablement and Execution
  • Enablement Execution: Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, and trainings necessary to build partners’ technical skills
  • Technical Engagement: Lead deep technical engagements, including; Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, and Hackathons
  • Best Practice Sharing: Collaborate with Microsoft’s Engineering teams to generate technical insight and enable best practices sharing
  • Solution Development: Aid partners to develop and implement high quality solutions and/or services leveraging Microsoft’s latest technologies
  • Evangelism: Evangelize partners’ practices and solutions in customers’ implementations via Technical briefings and Architecture Review Sessions
  • Tech Sales: Enable partners on technical pre-sales skills while supporting initial partners’ wins and work to unblock technical issues.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
• OR equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of building deep technical sales relationships with CXOs and practice building executives in ISV, MSP, CD and Sis.
• Ability to solve Partner problems and unblock technical issues, leveraging internal and/or external resources.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud Solution Area products and services, and knowledge of market business environment
• 6-10+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales, technology solutions/practice development, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications required

Subject matter expertise in the following areas is required :

• SQL including OSS (postgres, MySQL etc), Azure SQL
• NoSQL Databases including OSS (Maria, Mongo etc), Cosmos DB, Fabric
• Big Data including SQL DW, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift
• Advanced Analytics including Azure Data Bricks, visualization tools as PowerBI, Tableau

Must have good knowledge on :

• Data Governance
• Data Engineering
• Data Science
• Machine Learning including Azure ML, ML Server
• Artificial Intelligence including BOT framework, Cognitive Services, Cognitive Search
• Expertise in data estate workloads like HDInsight, Hadoop, Cloudera, Spark, Python
• Competitive Landscape – Knowledge of cloud development platforms.
• Partners – Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.
