Location: Minneapolis, MN only locals – onsite 5 days or 3 days hybrid in week

The business is driving a transformative initiative to scale its hyperautomation and intelligent automation efforts, aiming to enhance efficiency, agility, and innovation across its global operations. This role will be pivotal in identifying, analyzing, and delivering impactful automation use cases across the enterprise

In this highly strategic role, this role will leverage AI, GenAI, Process Automation (RPA), and Data Analytics to build the automation pipeline, prioritize use cases, and align with business objectives. The key is to help ensure the business maximizes the value from automation initiatives through a clear roadmap, actionable business cases, and measurable ROI.

• MUST HAVE 8+ years of experience is a must have in business analysis, process improvement, or automation in a large, complex organization, preferably within the MedTech, Healthcare, or Life Sciences industries in large programs with aggressive timelines & competing priorities

• MUST HAVE a demonstrable track record of identifying, analyzing, and delivering high-impact automation use cases, particularly in business functions such as IT, Finance, HR, and core MedTech operations.

• MUST HAVE 2-3 Years of MedTech industry experience working on large scale AI, Data and Automation programs.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN

1.Use case diagrams, Process definition documents/BRD

2.Conducting idea collation workshops with large and diverse business and IT personas

3.Coverting ideas to well-articulated use cases in AI, GenAI, RPA,API based automation, Data transformation etc.

4..Building business cases with ROI and recommended technologies required for automation

5.Building roadmaps and funnels for automation decisions and presentations to the programs leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use Case Identification & Prioritization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, HR, MedTech Business Functions) to identify and prioritize automation opportunities. Develop a structured framework for building a pipeline of use cases, evaluating them through ROI, complexity, and priority matrices.
• Business Process Analysis & Discovery: Lead process mining and discovery initiatives to analyze and uncover inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities within business processes. Map out existing processes and identify automation points with an emphasis on data-driven insights.
• Automation Roadmap & Strategy: Build and refine the strategic automation roadmap, outlining both short-term and long-term automation initiatives. Work with business leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals, addressing complex automation challenges using frameworks like Lean, Six Sigma, and others to drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Sponsorship: Collaborate with senior leaders to gain sponsorship for automation initiatives. Develop compelling business cases, presentations, and materials that convey the value of automation use cases and their alignment with the business’s strategic objectives.
• Solution Design & Documentation: Support technical teams in designing automation solutions that meet business requirements. Document automation requirements, process flows, and use case scenarios, ensuring adherence to the business’s governance and compliance standards.
• ROI & Impact Analysis: Design and implement robust ROI simulations and impact analysis frameworks to assess the feasibility and business value of each use case. Monitor the outcomes of automation projects, measuring efficiency improvements and financial benefits post-implementation.
• Process Documentation & Analysis: Build Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Process Definition Documents (PDDs), and Functional Architecture for automation solutions. Use exploratory data analysis (EDA) and “What If” analysis to provide insights on potential automation gains and to validate assumptions.
• Idea Collation & Workshops: Organize and lead workshops to collect automation ideas from business units, ensuring that all ideas are captured, categorized, and converted into actionable use cases. Facilitate discussions to help stakeholders refine and prioritize ideas based on business value.
• Proactive Point of View (POV) Building: Proactively build and share POVs on the latest AI and automation capabilities, demonstrating their potential impact to the business. Provide a clear understanding of how emerging technologies can be leveraged to drive business improvements.
• Demos & Capability Showcases: Conduct interactive demos for business users, showcasing the potential of AI, RPA, and other automation technologies. Present complex automation solutions in simple language, ensuring business teams understand the technology’s capabilities and benefits.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, RPA developers, solution architects, and data scientists to define and refine automation projects. Facilitate collaboration between business functions and technical teams to ensure seamless execution and adoption.
• Risk Management: Anticipate risks associated with automation in regulated environments, ensuring all automation projects adhere to compliance and regulatory standards, especially in the MedTech industry.

Key Skills:

• Domain Expertise in MedTech: In-depth knowledge of the MedTech industry, including the value chain from product development, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and post-market surveillance. Familiarity with MedTech regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
• Process Automation Frameworks: Expertise in building automation roadmaps and frameworks, utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, and Agile to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation projects that drive business value.
• Use Case Prioritization & ROI Simulation: Proficient in use case identification, ROI simulations, and impact assessments. Ability to create business case models, prioritization matrices, and evaluate automation benefits in terms of cost, time savings, and strategic alignment.
• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Strong analytical skills in data exploration, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities in existing business processes. Skilled in using data analytics tools to drive insights and inform automation decisions.
• Business Requirement & Process Documentation: Expert in creating detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Process Definition Documents (PDDs), and Functional Architecture for automation initiatives. Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Business Capability Mapping & Heatmaps: Ability to create business capability maps to visualize organizational strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Skilled in developing heatmaps to prioritize automation efforts across business functions.
• Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to influence and gain sponsorship from business leaders. Exceptional communication skills to present complex ideas, business cases, and ROI analysis in a compelling and actionable manner.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in using data to drive decision-making, including conducting “What If” analysis to predict the impact of automation on business operations. Ability to present findings in a clear, actionable format for leadership teams.
• Automation Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with leading RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and AI frameworks for automation. Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, and machine learning technologies in the context of business process automation.
• Process Mining & Discovery Tools: Expertise in using process mining and discovery tools to map out, analyze, and identify automation opportunities in business processes.
• Proactive POV & Demo Skills: Strong ability to proactively build and communicate Points of View (POVs) around automation technologies. Conducting demos and showcasing the benefits and capabilities of AI and automation tools in simple, engaging ways for business teams.
