Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to drive the design and implementation of cutting-edge Generative AI solutions. This role will be instrumental in shaping the architecture of the GenAI solutions, working closely with the in-house AI/ML teams, business stakeholders, product managers, data scientists, and software engineering teams to translate business needs into robust, scalable, and secure AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of GenAI technologies, AWS cloud services, and software architecture principles, with a focus on Python and React.js for front-end integration, and utilizing Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, coupled with a passion for innovation and a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end GenAI solutions within the AWS ecosystem, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, cost-effectiveness, and maintainability.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology frameworks, tools, and services based on fit for purpose use cases to meet specific business requirements and AbbVie standards.
• Define integration strategies for GenAI solutions with existing business applications and infrastructure on AWS, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient deployment pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, data science, engineering, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, communicate technical designs, and ensure alignment on project goals, with a focus on GenAI.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on best practices for building and deploying GenAI applications on AWS, specifically focusing on Python backends, React.js front-end integration, and integration with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure for AI workloads
• Develop and execute proofs of concept and prototypes to validate technical feasibility and demonstrate the value of proposed solutions.
• Align and improve upon the organization’s AI/ML governance strategy
• Ensure that all GenAI solutions adhere to AbbVie’s security best practices and comply with appropriate data privacy standards.
• Implementation and architecture design for MLOps workflows
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in GenAI technologies, AWS services, research papers, industry trends, and Azure DevOps features relevant to CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 7 years’ experience; PhD with 3 years of experience in application program development.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle, client area’s functions and systems, and systems application program development technological alternatives.

Preferred:

• Experience in a GxP and/or LifeScience industry.
• Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty).
• Azure DevOps certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
