Software Engineer, Computer Vision/Deep Learning Full-time

Our Perception team builds the system that “sees” the world around the self-driving car. We conduct research to address real-world problems and collaborate with research teams at Alphabet. We have access to millions of miles of driving data from a diverse set of sensors, enabling researchers like you to develop complex models and techniques at scale.

In this hybrid role, you will report into an Engineering Director.

You will:

• Experience applying machine learning techniques to build multi-modal sensor fusion architectures including object detection and tracking, segmentation, road understanding, flow estimation and future prediction.
• Design large-scale foundation models trained on our vast data
• Develop data mining, labeling, training and evaluation pipelines to help the Waymo Driver

You have:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or an equivalent amount of deep learning experience
• 3+ years experience in Computer Vision and Machine Learning
• Experience with Python/C++

We prefer:

• PhD degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
• Publications at top-tier conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, ICRA, RSS, NeurIPS, AAAI, IJCV, PAMI

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
