Software Development Engineer, Ring AI Full-time

At Ring, we’re seeking a driven and talented Software Development Engineer to join our trailblazing AI Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll have the opportunity to revolutionize the home security landscape by working on cutting-edge cloud services that power our innovative machine learning operation pipelines, which handles petabytes of heterogeneous data and allows data scientists creating / optimizing numerous models in fast iterations .

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a software engineer who is technically strong with deep knowledge in cloud services, distributed systems and web services. The ideal candidate takes pride in tackling challenges, excels at working in an agile environment and gets excited about delivering world-class platform which allows AI models developed in a fast pace. You’ll collaborate with our exceptional Software, Hardware, and Computer Vision Engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and cross-functional synergy. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

– 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

– 2+ years of system design experience

– Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Fluent in Java and python

– Has experience of machine learning model development

– Cloud service development experience and familiar with AWS tools and services. Experience on CVML data infrastructure development is a huge plus
