Key job responsibilities
• tCollaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• tDesign and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• tCreate solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• tBuild distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• tDesign and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• tWork in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

A day in the life

The challenges SDEs solve for at Amazon are big and influence millions of customers, sellers, and products around the world. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in weeks, not years.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• tTo qualify, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science with a graduation date between January 2023 and October 2024. Possible start dates for this role are between August 2024 to November 2024.
• tProgramming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• tPrevious technical internship(s), if applicable.
• tExperience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• tExperience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
• tAbility to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• tAdept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
• tExperience with Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, or Deep Learning
• tExperience with Natural Language Processing: Java or Python, and ML, AI, Labeling, Annotation, Data Pipeline, Big Data, AWS, or Cloud Services
• tExperience with Computer Vision: Kernel, Hardware Accelerator, TVM, or Code-gen
• tExperience with Deep Learning: C++ or Python, and AI, Neural Network, Tensorflow, PyTorch, MxNET, Llvm, Compiler, CPU, CUDA, Nvidia, TensorRT, TPU, Cluster Management, High Performance Computing, or Optimization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
