Senior Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Specialized Generative AI Full-time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 7 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning or natural language processing.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or other technical related field.
• Experience developing Generative AI based solutions and applying model specialization techniques (SFT, RLHF).
• Technical leadership experience.
• Knowledge of machine learning and its applications.
• Familiarity with development process focused on quality evaluation and improvements of model outputs.

Responsibilities

• Assess technological fit of Generative AI innovations to market needs of Cloud customers across a wide range of industries.
• Prototype and iterate on the solution working closely with customers, product management, and business development.
• Design new systems and algorithms utilizing existing pre-trained models and training new models by defining training/evaluation sets and objectives.
• Build alignment among multiple teams to build a complex solution.
• Own quality evaluation of model outputs and plan and execute strategy of model quality improvements.
