Senior Staff Engineer on Advanced Analytics & AI/ML Application in Supply Chain Management with experience in ETL tools and frameworks, particularly Hadoop and Denodo, Big Data Technologies, AI/ML Frameworks

Job description:

In your new role you will:
*Leverage in-depth knowledge of ETL data pipelines and supply chain finance functions to drive advanced analytics and AI/ML applications.
*Utilize best practices and business knowledge to enhance products, services, and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
*Resolve complex problems and implement innovative solutions where precedents may not exist.
*Manage projects involving multiple functions, ensuring accountability for activities and objectives.
*Train and mentor less experienced colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
*Works independently and has a proactive work attitude to reach out actively to improve and standardize existing reports.

Your Profile:

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.

Work Experience:

• 5-12 years of professional experience in data engineering, advanced analytics, or AI/ML applications, with a strong focus on supply chain management and finance functions.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing performant ETL data pipelines using Hadoop and Denodo within large-scale Companies.
• Proven track record of introducing or improving data-driven Sales &Operations Planning (S&OP) processes in globally operating companies
• Extensive experience in project management across multiple functions, with accountability for ongoing activities and objectives.
• experience in the application of generative AI to automate tasks in the supply chain domain is a plus

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in ETL tools and frameworks, particularly Hadoop and Denodo.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
• Advanced knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their application in supply chain management.
• Knowledge of generative AI models application and their practical implementation is a plus
• Experience in development of web based frontend applications is a plus.

Language Requirements:
Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in one or more additional languages is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of resolving complex problems where precedent may not exist.
• Independent and proactive work attitude, with the ability to reach out actively to improve and standardize existing solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with top management, middle management, and team members.
• Proven ability to elicit requirements and translate them into actionable insights and solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge leadership skills, capable of acting as are source for colleagues with less experience and formally training other team members.

Team Structure:

• The team currently consists of team members in Germany and in India, requiring effective communication and collaboration across these locations.
