In this role, you will help AWS build AI & GenAI into our EDI product suite and help customers build and deploy AI & GenAI-enabled applications using Amazon Bedrock, fine-tune and build Generative AI models, Agents, etc. and leverage these to power innovative solutions for our largest upstream customers and partners.
As a AI Specialist Architect for the Energy Data Insights (EDI) on AWS, you will engage with engineering and product to influence the direction of the EDI platform and help our customers and partners tap into new markets by utilizing AI & GenAI along with other AWS services. You will work closely with customers in various geographies to enable large-scale use cases and drive the adoption of the EDI platform and AI capabilities.
You will interact with other Solution Architects in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AI/GenAI on the EDI platform. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate the EDI platform and GenAI solutions into customer architectures.
You will drive effective feedback gathering from engineering, product, and customers, and you will distill and translate that feedback into clear business and technical requirements for the EDI product and engineering teams to review. You will sponsor the creation of rapid new prototypes, products, and features from these requirements, working closely with the product and engineering teams to minimize requirements drift from your customers’ needs.

Key job responsibilities
– Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS product teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback for the EDI platform and GenAI services.
– Build Solutions & Guidances for EDI that leverage AI to enahnce the geotechnical capabilities of the overall platform and beyond.
– Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate the EDI platform and Amazon Web Services GenAI solutions into customer architectures.
– Implement and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms under GenAI. Build prototypes, PoCs, and explore new solutions. Interact closely with customers and the academic community.
– Thought Leadership – Evangelize AWS GenAI services and the EDI platform, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white-papers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
– 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
– 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
– Experience with GenAI Agents and Agentic Workflows
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
– Experience working with end user or developer communities
– – Advanced degree in geology or geophysics
