Senior Software Engineer – AI Code Gen Full-time

We’re a new team building AI-assisted tools to make developers more effective, by autonomously generating tests, fixing bugs, and improving performance.

We’re looking for a product-minded generalist to help us quickly define and ship products that make all of our customers 10x developers.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with our users, designers, and PMs on cutting edge and delightful LLM-based agents
• Regularly talk with users to understand their needs and get their feedback
• Rapidly design and prototype open-ended, full stack features. Iterate quickly with early adopters, learn what works, and productionize it

• Work with other Datadog teams to expand capabilities, for example integrating with the Datadog IDE extensions to deliver a CoPilot-like assistant, or Dynamic Instrumentation to collect more runtime data from production and pre-production environments

Who You Are:

• You’re passionate about Generative AI and its ability to help software engineers be more productive. Bonus points if you keep up with the latest LLM developments and research
• You ship fast, route around blockers, and are comfortable working with ambiguity
• You love talking with users
• You’re happy to jump into any part of the stack and do whatever’s needed to move a project forward
• You have great product taste
• You may have been a founder or early builder at a startup
• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
