As a Senior Principal Product Manager on the AI team for our Agile & DevOps (ADO) products – Jira, Bitbucket, Compass, and the ecosystem of tools around them. You will play a pivotal role in driving the development and integration of cutting-edge AI technologies, empowering our users to work smarter, more efficiently, and more collaboratively. Your customers are end users of these products and you will be responsible for creating novel solutions for these users whilst delivering strong value to the Atlassian business.

This role reports to the Head of Product for ADO AI.

This is a remote position. To help our teams work together, this role requires you to be located in the Pacific Time Zone (high overlap with Australia)

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a well funded product team who’s mission is to deliver value across the Agile & DevOps business using AI
• Define and own key results (KRs) and metrics that have a meaningful and material impact on the Agile & DevOps business within Atlassian
• Constantly evaluate the rapidly changing AI market landscape and make strategic bets on where Atlassian should invest in the technical teams space
• Deeply understand the customers needs, wants, and desires as they evolve with AI and translate those to actionable insights and a roadmap that delivers strong value
• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, data scientists, and other discipline leads to deliver high-quality AI functionality and features to end users
• Work cross functionally with leaders in ADO, each of the products, the Atlassian Platform teams – specifically AI, ML, and Search, and the Go-to-Market teams.
• Develop the PM craft within Atlassian as you will be one of a handful of senior PM leaders across the company

Qualifications

Your background

• You have 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on creating solutions for technical teams (particularly software engineering teams). Bonus if you have delivered customer facing solutions that use AI.
• You’re comfortable breaking down big problem spaces into concrete strategies and plans
• You’ve delivered new solutions to market, including packaging and pricing strategy, competitive strategy, revenue modelling, and have strong connections with GTM teams
• You have a demonstrated ability to thrive in environments where new technologies develop quickly in nascent spaces, and there are multiple opinionated stakeholders, up to the CEO level.
• You’ve led cross-functional teams to creating value for customers and the business by delivering complex software projects and successfully iterating on functionality through experimentation
• You’ve developed the art of saying “no” and know how to get teams to focus on what’s needed to deliver proven value whilst bringing everyone along on the journey

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate’s skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $220,800 – $294,300

Zone B: $198,700 – $264,900

Zone C: $183,300 – $244,300

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
