About the Role

The Behavior ML Infrastructure team is responsible for building & improving the core infrastructure for behavior teams at Nuro. This includes, but is not limited to, model training pipelines, onboard inference & optimizations, data & feature pipelines, Reinforcement Learning (RL) infrastructure and overall developer productivity & best practices.

In this role, you will work closely with teams across Nuro, to design, build and deploy core infrastructure components in machine learning model life cycle, to push the autonomous future forward. You will have an opportunity to work across the full stack of machine learning solutions – from designing robust and scalable data pipelines, building models to deploying the optimized models on Nuro’s fleet of self-driving robots!

About the Work

• Develop scalable and robust ML pipelines for processing petabytes of data, training large models and deploying them in production.
• Collaborate closely with machine learning domain experts and engineers across behavior, perception, research, mapping, infrastructure etc. to design and implement end-to-end ML solutions.
• Build frameworks and interfaces to accelerate machine learning development and maximize the utilization of hardware capabilities.
• Write robust, high quality software to increase our confidence in our vehicle’s ability to navigate safely on-road.

About You

• 4+ years of experience in ML infrastructure or large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with ML fundamentals and deep learning frameworks (like PyTorch, Jax, Tensorflow, Keras), especially around scalability, optimizations, profiling etc.
• Proficient in Python and working experience with C++.
• You are passionate about accelerating the benefits of robotics for everyday life.

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $167,200 and $250,800 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
