Senior Distributed Systems Engineer, DaaS of AI Infrastructure Full-time

NVIDIA is hiring distributed systems and data engineers to design and develop our exa-scale AI infrastructure for ingesting, indexing and managing data of Autonomous Vehicles. Together, we will build the exa-scale software 2.0 cloud platform for one of the most ambitious problems of our time: autonomous vehicles. Then we will apply it to other applications such as medical imaging, data science, genomics and more.

What you’ll be doing:

• DaaS Development: Spearhead the design and implementation of scalable, distributed DaaS (Data as a Service) to ingest, index, manage and service the large scale data.
• Collaborative Innovation: Work hand-in-hand with multiple AI teams, crafting a future-proof platform that not only meets their current needs but anticipates future advancements, enhancing their overall productivity.
• User Support: Act as a foundational support system for DaaS users, ensuring a seamless and productive experience.

What we need to see:

• Academic Excellence: A BS, MS, in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Prowess: A robust programming background, emphasizing data structures, design patterns, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and a proficiency in Java, Scala, or Go.
• Experience: At least 5 years of work or research experience in big data processing and microservice development and design.
• Versatility and Motivation: The capacity to navigate between long-term and immediate tactical tasks smoothly and a strong self-motivated mentality.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Platform Familiarity: Experience with world-class big data processing systems and workflow such as Spark, Kafka, Temporal will be a distinct advantage.
• Domain Familiarity: Familiarity with autonomous vehicles domain knowledge will be a big plus
