Senior Deep Learning Engineer (all genders) Full-time

The role

At understandAI, we believe that AI is the most powerful tool our generation has at hand, and we want to make it accessible for real-world applications.

As a Deep Learning Engineer, you develop new and improve existing machine learning models together with your team. Our goal is to automate data annotations, and therefore you push machine learning to its limits and help us create ground truth quality annotations.

Your tasks

• You measure and improve our automation workflows
• You integrate new algorithms and deep learning models into our product
• You prepare datasets and automate our data pipeline
• You take part in code reviews, and your teams pair programming sessions
• You support and develop team colleagues by providing advice, coaching, and technical guidance
• You read related papers, implement and test innovative ideas
• You help the team find a balance between cutting edge research and high-quality code that runs in production

What will you need to be successful?

• Industry experience with the deployment of models into production
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar machine learning frameworks, preferably on large-scale projects
• University degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related technical field
• Solid knowledge in the field of Machine Learning including the latest Deep Learning strategies
• Fluent in Python and Numpy
• Expert knowledge in linear algebra, stochastics, and computer vision
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with agile software development
