Senior Data Engineer- Machine Learning & AI Implementation Full-time

A Snapshot of your Day:

As a Senior Data Engineer your typical day will include consultations with colleagues in the business who are seeking solutions to data challenges & to understand their requirements. Your overall focus will be to improve the availability and quality of existing data & to create a high-quality architecture as a basis for the sustainable implementation of AI use cases. You will coordinate with data engineers, data scientists, central functions & external partners. You will code, consult & give advice during this process. Your role also includes business trips to understand & support local processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• As a senior data engineer, you w ork in an interdisciplinary team with data engineers, scientists and business professionals to foster the data driven company culture approach and implement machine learning and AI use cases
• Support & consult business professionals in use case refinements to identify promising use cases with high business impact
• Collection, maintenance, preparation, enrichment, validation and distribution of data
• Mentor staff in data acquisition techniques & ensure proper data collection/storage for administrative processes & on site
• Plan & create a suitable system infrastructure for applications for analysis
• Design & configuration of robust data sets and databases
• Maintain and develop existing data infrastructure
• Support conception and provision of a system architecture
• Build up deep knowledge with Snowflake model

What You Bring

Must have

• University degree in computer or data science or related field.
• Proven track record and/or several years of experience in data acquisition techniques
• Deep knowledge of snowflake SQL Scripting, Alteryx, SnapLogic.
• Experience in DevOps and Familiar and GitLab for CICD
• Deep knowledge in building End – to end data pipeline.
• Experience in data migration.
• Project management skills and agile approach
• Highly motivated, proactive, and self-directed.
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
• Willingness to travel with focus central Europe (~30%)
• Very good English skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in DevOps and Familiar and GitLab for CICD
• Experience with MS Power Automate
• Experience in building data ingestion pipeline using AWS, Azure data services.
• Experience and interest in data science & data analytics
• Experience and interest in Machine learning & AI
• German language skills

Basic research is a key driver for innovation within Grid Technologies. We drive own innovation campaigns, collaborate with in- and external partners & directly support product development with deed & profound technological expertise.

During this process, we create & collect a huge amount of data which we need to take a closer look at. In the upcoming years, we will further deep dive into the potentials of process digitalization, Machine Learning & generative AI.

Therefore we need high quality, validated data available in the right format & structure, to further evaluate them.
