(Senior) Consultant – Legal Advisory Data Protection & AI Full-time

In this challenging role in our international and dynamic environment, you will be involved in several projects within Information Governance & Compliance, including topics like how to make an Artificial Intelligence application compliant, how to apply to data privacy and confidentiality standards and how to assert cloud and third party IT compliance. Therefore, we are in search for an ambitious person for our Information Governance & Compliance team in Zurich.

(Senior) Consultant – Legal Advisory Data Protection & AI

Your contribution to KPMG

• Advise national and international clients from Switzerland or Liechtenstein on data protection matters
• Help clients to assess an AI application and determine what needs to be done to operate this application compliantly
• Assist in the evaluation, setup and deployment of eGRC or AI tools in the area of AI and data protection
• Support our clients’ DPOs with inquiries from their customers, authorities and third parties
• Contribute to the definition and anchoring of processes around AI, data protection and compliance
• Work on international and national projects in multidisciplinary teams on the introduction of new services and IT tools as well as on compliance, certification and outsourcing projects
• Develop training materials and tools for training customers and employees
• Draft directives/regulations and contracts and negotiate data protection provisions with suppliers and customers, among others

This is what makes you successful

• University degree in law and relevant training and further education in data protection and technology law
• At least 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in data protection, technology, contract and software law
• Strong experience in process management; demonstrably involved in the systematic anchoring of data protection and compliance processes
• Structured and organized way of working
• Strong interest in new technologies and data protection issues
• Enjoy interdisciplinary and international teamwork
• Solution-oriented personality who can drive projects forward with a lot of initiative and consulting skills
• Excellent knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English, both at least at C1/C2 level, proficiency in Italian is a valuable asset
