Work you’ll do:

We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Manufacturing Consultant (Data) to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in helping manufacturing businesses leverage the power of GCP to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and gain a competitive edge.

• Partner with manufacturing clients to identify data-driven solutions for key challenges across the production lifecycle.
• Translate manufacturing domain expertise into actionable data strategies and implementation plans.
• Design and develop robust data pipelines on GCP using tools like Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, or Airflow to ingest, transform, and manage manufacturing data.
• Leverage expertise in Python and SQL to build and execute data analysis pipelines for extracting valuable insights.
• Utilize Vertex AI and Vertex Gen AI to develop and deploy machine learning models that optimize manufacturing processes, predict equipment failures, and improve quality control.
• Employ containerization technologies like Kubernetes to manage and scale data processing workloads efficiently.
• Design and implement automated test scripts using Python or SQL to ensure the integrity and reliability of data pipelines and models.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data solutions with existing manufacturing workflows.
• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in GCP data & analytics services, AI applications in manufacturing, and industry best practices.
• Develop and deliver impactful presentations and training sessions to educate stakeholders on data-driven decision making.
• Document data pipelines, machine learning models, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and ongoing success.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry with a proven track record of implementing data-driven solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of data pipelines, data ingestion, data transformation, and data management best practices.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and scripting.
• Experience designing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment (Vertex AI, Vertex Gen AI a plus).
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core data & analytics services.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
• A passion for learning and staying current with the latest advancements in cloud technologies and AI in manufacturing.
